              History

              Picture
Billerica Junior High Football was started in 2007 with the belief that there were a lot of young boys that wanted to play youth football, but were excluded because of their size. In 2007 thirty eight players participated, thirty four of who had no prior experience. In the 2008 the team had more than 50 players and made the playoffs. Although they lost in the first round the team played great and we couldn't  have asked for more. In 2009, half of the Varsity squad were seventh graders and did not have a great season, but the experienced gained was valuable. There are more than twenty players from our first two teams presently playing high school football at Billerica High School and Shawsheen Tech, which to the coaches, is what this is all about.

Today the team owns enough equipment to outfit over fifty players. With the equipment and excellent teaching aids such as a five man sled, tackling dummies, fight bags and a chute, we have the tools needed to build young boys into High School football players. We also installed permanent lights for the practice field so we  have a solid foundation to work with the kids to the best of our ability.
